Text:Isaiah 53 | Matthew 27: 27-31
Let us discuss the purpose of wounds.
I wanted to focus on the crucifixion of Jesus as the core reference to really bring out the message of the importance of wounds.
Yes wounds are important!
In order for Jesus to save each and every one of us from our sins, he had to be beaten. Jesus has the wounds to show for his act of love towards us. We won't only read about it but when we see him face to face again the wounds will serve as evidence that the man standing before you is the REAL DEAL! People can't see power with the naked eye. Power can only be felt and so God decided to honor the season of waiting by giving you the scars to show! The wounds are the trade mark of Glory on your life. In fact, let me add another point by saying that the only time appearance adds value to power is when you have suffered enough and had your wounds to show that the anointing you on your life costs something!

I implore you! Don't get caught up in seeking rewards and forget to seek the spirit of the Lord. The greatest reward you can get from God is Power and the wounds to show so that nobody will be able to deny your authenticity. If we truly want people to see us and see Jesus we have to have the wounds to show! For he was wounded for our transgressions. Do you truly understand what you'd have to go through to look like Jesus?
Prayer
Lord Jesus I do not take it for granted that you loved me enough to carry the wounds for my healing. Each scar signifies each time you had to rescue me and heal me from sin and for that I'm eternally grateful. As I long to represent you and give you glory with my life, I now acknowledge that the glory comes with the scars. Help me to be courageous and strong as I go through every season of trial. Bless my wounds and shine your light through them. Amen.
